Nonna’s Trattoria and Pantry / EatWithNonna.com
The inception of Nonna’s is a story of reinvention. The owners, a couple in their mid-sixties, had recently moved back to the United States after nearly two decades abroad, and were looking for an opportunity to build an authentically European restaurant in West Michigan.
They had a clear vision of what the business and menu would look like, but only had a fleeting sense of the certain qualities they were looking for the brand to embody. I slowly helped them realize their vision, incorporating the northern Italian cornflowers with the modern, restrained aesthetic of the space. I also spent many delicious lunches consulting on space layout and offerings. As one location grew to two, I’ve worked to develop a co-branded website to showcase their broad and evolving fair.
