Kickatomic Co-Founder Jaemy Choong (or "JaemyC" on instagram) started taking photos of his friends, family (and pets) with his smartphone on instagram but his quirky sense of humor put a twist in his photos by placing movie posters into them. He called these photos "mash-ups" of real life people and movie posters.
The photos went viral in 2014 and was covered by online news sites all over the world - MTV.com, The Huffington Post (twice), The Sun UK, and Buzzfeed just to name a few.
