Do you like Metroidvania-Games?
I do. And I think as a visual artist they are one of the most interesting projects to work on. Because your artworks can turn into the actual graphics of the game.
Keeping that thought in mind I wanted to create a little teaser for a possible scenario taking place beyond the surface within ancient ruins (tbh not the most original premise :D).
My thoughts orbited around the concept of light and dark. And everything you see was developed from that point on. The torch is a lifespending item but the fire is also a limited resource. How and why we ended up there is question yet to be answered. Only one thing is certain - the way out of this place will be dangerous.
What do you think about it?

The German title is a made up word that would translate into "No Light". And if you should be a developer or happen to know one just hit me up ;)
In case you wonder - I am no musician or sound designer. What I can do though is arrange music and get as close as I get to what I have in my mind. Usually I alter sounds from Garage Band or I visit "freesound.org" and that's what I mostly did for this project.
