Brilliant Batons Mood Lamp
Inspired by ritual, behaviour modification and play, this lamp beckons interaction to remind us that adults still need to play. When a light rod is attached to the conductive base, it lights up, but when removed, it shuts off.
The prototype was manufactured in a wood and metal working shop using a lathe, and milling machine.
With further development, this lighting system can be adapted for multiple uses and contexts.
The light batons can be docked at any of the portals on the base. The batons light instantly turns on once attached to the base. 360 degree rotation affords the user freedom to create different light configurations.
