Madaen Saleh

Al Hijr site (Madaen Saleh), was the first ever archeological site in Saudi Arabia to join the UNESCO's World Heritage List. It’s registration in the World Heritage List represents global recognition of the value of Saudi culture and history, as well as the integrity of the procedures and measures that have gone into the registration process of the site.
Historic Al Dir'iya

Al-Dir'iya is viewed as an important national symbol in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It had emerged as the capital of the new First Saudi State, establishment of which constitutes the turning point in the history of the Arabian Peninsula, when young Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud, founder of the First Saudi State had supported the call of the religious scholar and reformer Mohammad bin Abdul Wahab in 1157 AH/1744CE. Al Dir'iya became the State capital of the young Saudi Arabia.
Historic Jeddah

The approval of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO to adopt the historic Jeddah within the World Heritage List comes due to the fact that the position of Jeddah city dates back to the pre-Islamic era as an important place across different civilizations. It saw, at the beginning of the Islamic era, a major turning point when it was taken by Caliph Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) as the port of the Holy City Makkah Al Mukarramah in the year 26 AH / 647 AD, and from that time on, the city of Jeddah gained its historic dimension as one of the most important cities along the Red Sea coast and Gateway of the Two Holy Mosques.​
Rock Art in the Hail Region

Jabal Umm Sinman at Jubbah and the Jabal al-Manjor and Raat at Shuwaymis in the Hail province are the most important and largest archeological sites in the Kingdom. They show numerous representations of human and animal figures covering 10,000 years of history. Rock Art of Hail region is the fourth archeological site in the Kingdom to be included in the "World Heritage List" of UNESCO.
Al-Ahsa Oasis

One of the most famous and largest oases in the world through its 3 million finest date producer palms, as well as its strategic geographical and historical location that distinguishes it and that qualifies it to be a connection bridge between great and ancient civilizations before thousands of years. This made it deservedly to be one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites as a fifth Saudi site in this list.
Rijal Alma Village

The village of Rijal Alma has finalized its submission for the UNESCO’s World Heritage List and is now awaiting the arrival of experts from the UN International Organization for Culture, Arts and Heritage.
