I wanted to make some lettering art for a gaming/VR community I found while browsing through Twitch.

I began with some rough ink sketches using a Tombow Brush Pen to explore the different thickness of lines I could achieve and styles that could be made.

After finding a sketch I liked, I traced it in pencil onto some tracing paper adjusting the spacing and weight of the lines where it was needed.

Then, I took the traced piece and scanned it into Adobe Illustrator to vectorize.

I stylized it by adding shadows and placing it over a misty forest photo I found on Unsplash. (Photo by Zoltan Kovacs // @kovacsz1)

The community leaders and members loved how it looked and it was later used as a cover photo for their Discord channel.
