the best photos are the ones never taken

Project concept and texts by Luiza Alecsandru. Artwork by me.
The project had a simple and intriguing task: how would someones memories or eye-catching experiences look, if there were no photos taken, to speak the thousand words?
Luiza came with the experiences, each one reduced to a short description, which can be found under each image. I took those text and produced the drawings.
From several scenarios, here are my favorite three, with the description and details.
[ Bucharest, 2011 ]
At the tube station from University Square, next to the electric stairs, a kid sits on the cement support. Behind him lies a big stuffed teddy bear. The kid looks down, indifferent to the bear behind him.
[ Bucharest, 2011 ]
In front of a metal garage door, a boy sits on the sidewalk and holds a race toycar in his hands. He looks at it with amazement.
[ Paris, 2010 ]
At a tube station, a huge billboard sits on the wall with the message "30% off for all our beds". A huge bed with a beautiful pastel bedcover is represented in the ad. On the red chairs beneath the billboard, a woman is sleeping in rags.
