Theodore visits his father, who is a railway engineer, at work at the Grand Junction Depot in Colorado during the spring of 1914, and sees his first Pennsylvania 2-8-0 locomotive steam into the platform.

 

"Junior Engineer" was my entry in a character design contest.  My love of trains and the early 20th century made this image a natural choice.  I had to submit a simpler version of the piece than I wanted due to time constraints.  See 'final' version of this project will be beside this one.
