Chih Nu

What?
Photoshoot for the parisian's brand Alex Rotin. The goal was to showcase the new "prêt-à-porter" (ready to wear) collection.
Story?
Step into the celestial love story of Chih Nu, “The Weaving Maid”, also known as “The Girl in the Moon”, who once crafted robes for the gods.
The red backdrop symbolizes the passion and intensity of this celestial love story, enhancing our ability to capture its essence. Let’s embark on a visual journey to bring this ageless tale to life through the night sky, where light and shadow merge to capture her legendary beauty.
The choice of the Red & White make up is based on the Chinese culture where red symbolizes “good luck” and “happiness”, while white can symbolize “purity” or “mourning”. Using these colors in makeup is our way to honor chinese cultural values. But, for this project, we might have made a little twist and embrace the choice to use red for its european symbolic “passion”.
