I have chosen the colour palette from the Spanish flag, flamenco- and bullfighter costumes.  The main keyword for this design is 'expressive.'
I have chosen the colours for the Malmö city guidebook according to the seaside (blue) and cosmopolitan, eclectic and modern (orange).  I used the shape of the Turning Torso as an inspiration for the design.
I have included the greenery that is so prevalent around Manhattan.  I used textured paper cuttings to create the cover.  Next time, I will use the same technique and typeface across the guidebook series.
Songs were written about the Manhattan skyline.  "Manhattan Skyline" is a song by the Norwegian band A-Ha.  I thought it fitting to emphasise the skyline by using a pink-orange.
I am using Moroccan tile designs to inspire the Marrakech design.  My colour palette consists of terracotta and blue-green, often used in Moroccan tiles and the Koutoubia Mosque.
I am using green, red, deep blue and white as the colour palette to incorporate the French Colonial roots of Montréal.  The maple tree symbolises strength and endurance and is Canada's national tree.
I used the Gateway of India stone arch to inspire this design.  The Shree Siddhivinayak Temple inspires the colour palette.
The main focus of this illustration is the typography and the building.
