A CYANOTYPE JOURNEY.
Inspired by the work of Ansel Adams and guided by my passion for trekking, I felt the need to document the variety of extremely diversified natural landscapes of my homeland, Sicily, which I had the opportunity to get to know during my travels.
This volume contains the visual testimonies of my travels. My aim is to document and, if possible, highlight the beauty and diversity of the area.

The mode of expression I chose is Cyanotype.
Cyanotype exploits the action of two iron salts, namely green iron ammonium citrate and red potassium ferricyanide. The combination of these two salts creates a compound which, if spread on a surface, will make it sensitive to UV rays and consequently to sunlight.
All photos were taken and developed at home by me.
