Kathleen Flinn is an amazing writer.  I have read two of her books, and I cannot wait to pick up her third.  Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good was given to me by my father this Christmas.  Little did I know that Kathleen's Grandma Inez, would remind me of my own Grandma Inez.  Her quote "I don't have to tell you I love you. I made you pancakes." is something I would probably hear come out of my own grandmother's mouth if she were still alive today.  I was inspired to take a recipe from Kathleen's book and create a sample cookbook page.  The one in the actual book didn't do Grandma Inez's pancakes justice.
