Arabesque Patterned-Tile

ISLAMIC COMPLEX GEOMETRY

Inspiration: My design inspiration is from ARABESQUE Islamic design movement. The Arabesque (derived from Arabic) is a form of artistic decoration consisting of surface decorations based on rythmic linear patterns often combined with other elements.

Design Principles: This design follows design principles like Repetition and Harmony. Another characteristic of this design is how the elements are evenly and symmetrically distributed. It also makes the patterns appear flat, with no particular or dominating foreground motifs. All motifs are equally important.

Use of colors: In Islamic history Blue is the sign of cleanliness, purity and spirituality. In the architecture of Islamic mosques, the colours blue and torquoise blue are used abundantly.
