Maybe if I hadn't met you before I would have thought so, no matter what shape you took.

Even if you looked like a small kid, you brought the end of the world with those tiny hands of yours. Because of you, countless people lost their lives to despair. Because of you, the asciens lost their home and destroyed many others. Because of you, an endless cycle of hate was born.

The world is a mess because of you.

However, I have seen it.

The way you shyly smiled when you greeted me for the first time. How happy you were to make a new friend at a place where only one person understood you. How upset you felt when you thought about how Hermes would look sad from time to time.

I saw how you smiled like any other kid when you ran through the vast fields of Elpis. I felt the gentleness of your touch when you held my scarred hand close to your heart with a sad expression. I heard your terrified cry for help when you couldn't carry alone the weight of the death of millions of stars on your tiny shoulders.

The world saw you as a threat, Hermes saw you as a friend.

I saw you as both.

I hated the you who brought worlds to their demise, but I came to love the you I met in Elpis. I wanted to protect people from you, but started thinking of you as someone I wanted to protect. I hoped you would stop existing so everyone could be safe, but I longed for the day we could watch the sunrise as we welcomed another day together.

That's why, right now, I am the only one who can say this.
