MIRRORS REFLECTION
This collection consists of spaces designed using NATURAL ELEMENTS with different MIRROR designs symbolizing REFLECTIONS. Influenced by curiosities about African roots and the few historic places with structures that are still standing today. These structures existed in synchronization with nature and its environment due to the builders having a very strong understanding of designing for functionality, these natural elements, and how to maneuver them in a very detailed way. Natural elements such as mud(rammed earth), wood, raffia palm, bamboo, stones, rocks, and other natural elements were used in various forms to build these structures which have stood the test of time proving how sustainable, durable and efficient they are. this a  collaboration between ByOluwatobi and Miracle Otugo
We placed the WOODEN framed rectangular MIRROR with a WOODEN floating shelf matching the hard WOOD floor, MUD(rammed earth) walls, RAFFIA PALM roof, CERAMIC decor, and CERAMIC pots with PLANTS. This space exists by the coast as you can see the water body REFLECTION in the MIRROR.
IBEJI in Yoruba means twins which represent the two(2) way Venn diagram designed MIRROR behind the MUD wall arch. The WOODEN console table beneath the IBEJI MIRROR and a GOLDEN base stool complete the dresser. The cladded WOODEN table matches the hard WOOD floor. The outdoor CANE sofa with the PALM TREE leaf over it completes the outdoor unit.
IBETA in Yoruba means triplet, representing the three(3) way Venn diagram designed MIRROR on the MUD wall. There’s also a CERAMIC pot with PLANTS beside the cladded WOODEN table matching the hard WOOD floor.
A WOODEN framed two-way arch-like MIRROR with a WOODEN floating shelf in an open coastal GRASSLAND with ROCKS. A two-way MIRROR is a glass that is reflective on one side giving the appearance of a MIRROR and see-through/clear on the other side as if it’s a window as you can see parts of the human model, grassland, and waterbody on the other side.
A large size rectangular beveled MIRROR with led lights in a cabana. The cabana is built using BAMBOO sticks, BAMBOO chairs, a stone fireplace that doubles as a table, a retractable roof, and COTTON curtains for privacy. The cabana exists on the beach as you can see the sandy floors with REFLECTIONS of the human models and the PALM TREE.
We placed a black-stained WOODEN framed minor sector-shaped MIRROR on the STONE floor of a MUD(rammed earth) building with a REFLECTION of the detailed FREEFALL LOGO translucent COTTON curtain in front of the arch doorways.
