"Beginning" for Illustration Friday, week of January 17, 2014.

I wanted to show more of my process for this illustration. Below is my Illustrator "sketch" where I quickly blocked out the basic shapes and composition in black and white. The next image is after I added color and some detail. Although I always sketch on paper before I begin a piece I usually just use the initial sketch as a reference and build the piece up as I go in Illustrator.
