NEW HORIZONS

To celebrate the great invention of the James Webb Space Telescope, which took NASA nearly three decades to craft this telescope and get it to the launch pad.
Through this artwork, I tried to document the new possibilities and hope for enhanced knowledge that JWST can deliver. Through this artwork, I have tried to depict the journey of this telescope from prototype to the actual executed version depicted by two versions in the artwork. The laying figure symbolizes the potential unraveling of the mysteries which humankind will be able to visualize with help of this telescope. JWST will bring better images of supermassive black holes, distant alien worlds, dark matter, stellar explosions, or even alternate universes, in terms of resolution. With this capability, the telescope will be able to peer back in time. The JWST will be launched in L2 orbit outside earth orbit and that's what I have tried to depict through 2 glowing lines around the figure.

This means that this could change the entire process of how space knowledge is obtained, documented, and studied making it a historical moment worth capturing and celebrating.
