Welcome to my take on The Great Shoecase contest by Substance! The idea was to keep it simple and monochrome. Well... almost monochrome as gray was added for having some contrast. And yeah, the metal parts are based on pink gold as well ;-). 

It was some time since the last time I got my hands on Painter but I wanted to use height maps without overdoing so... How about a cozy and fluffy interior? And what about some pattern with displacement for the exterior? Done!

Also wanted to include different fabrics and textures, and little details to the sneakers (like the little breathing holes). My first take was to leave the sole sides white with a stripe in pink, but... Why not playing with the different patterns?

Once I was happy with the textures I needed to figure out Stager. But setting up the scene was pretty fast. I wanted to include some dynamics to it but keeping it minimalistic. So I opted for some simple environment, between realistic and abstract and letting the pink shoe to take all the attention!
