The first tile I created used basic shapes (mostly circles) to familiarize myself with Illustrator and touch on my basic skills. My design was based off of the Japanese fish scale pattern, and the colors were supposed to mimic a sunset color scheme.

The second tile I created was more complex. I used a Celtic knot design, and a sort of Greek design for the square zigzag pattern surrounding the knot. The corners were supposed to mimic the idea of pillars. The color palette I used was supposed to fit a more nature color palette, with dark green to represent leaf colors and the lighter ones to represent ground or sky. The overall design is supposed to give a peaceful, nature vibe.
