I designed three patterns/tiles for this project. The first one was the blue&white one. I designed the middle part of the tile as a Chinese ancient coin shape (Taipei 101, a skyscraper in Taipei City, has the similar design). The second one was the green one. I liked this tile because the interweave part in the middle looked like two fancy necklaces/bracelets that connect together. For the third one, which was the one with the flowers, I wanted to use straight lines to make the frame of the tile. Therefore, I used the ancient Chinese window frame as my reference to create the tile frame.
