THE STORY
"Las Tres Chicas" (The Three Girls) tells the story of Arianna, Paola, and Gabby at the beginning of their careers as performers. They have hoped and dreamed for this moment for almost all of their lives, and it has finally arrived. However, when Paola is late for the opening night, the three girls revisit memories of their respective childhoods and how they found a family with each other. As they reflect on the events that brought them and bound them together, Arianna and Gabby must decide if they should continue the show without Paola.
SOCIAL PLATFORM
Our film celebrates the resilience of the transgender community's struggle to achieve acceptance and representation. Our film focuses on exploring the humanity, dreams, and struggles of Arianna, Paola, and Gabby, complex transgender characters that go far beyond stereotypes.
We have interviewed and continue to consult with members of the trans community through our Video Diaries online series, so their voices and shared experiences are represented with accuracy and justice.
We hope our story reminds people, if not inform them, of the hardships and courageous decisions that transgender people go through in their pursuit of happiness. It's ultimately a universal conversation around opportunity and the human experience.
We refuse to cast cisgender to play our leading roles and we are also diligently working to create free acting workshops and scholarships for members of the trans community to earn the necessary experience to get their creative careers started, with our first Mobile Filmmaking Masterclass starting in February 2021
