CASA DA MÚSICA – 2016

The Educational Service of Casa da Música is an annual program that promotes, through artistic and musical practices,  a wide range of workshop events and projects oriented to schools to unprotected communities: the enthusiasm for creation and taste of music.

Every year they invite four different illustrators to work with them in each section of their program book. I had the challenge to illustrate the workshop section. From musical elements and instruments to digital tools, these workshops are a big laboratory where games, rhythm, freedom, stories, and a lot of fun moments are the main ingredients.

With this in mind, I allwed myself be inspired by the ambiance of each workshop, so sometimes I was illustrating old movies, spiels, Indonesian instruments, and other times just playing with shapes and puns.
