From the Wave Series: by Laura Victore

​The starting point of my work comes from diverse points;   minutely-detailed micro scientific findings and the noise of large-scaled industry, indescribable sensations of the flesh and the reliquaries of past belief systems, the heat of politics and the cool of music. The impact  of outside agencies and the influences  that they have on our world and its people, and how we are molded by the result of these decisions are  embedded in my artmaking processes. I work laboriously knowing each minute of the day, each breath, and each life impales an effect on the environment. I wish to honor each material, in form and context, that initiates itself into my studio practice with work that is elegant, tactile and true to the original idea.
