ARCHITECTURE + is a series of online conversations that aim to create dialogues exploring the social responsibilities of architects, urban planners, academics and their multidisciplinary interlocutors. Times of crisis, such as the current pandemic, demand that we question what we value in our respective disciplines and collectively rethink environmental and social sustainability at various scales.
The fist of its series, ARCHITECTURE + community, engages in conversation with three architects with established practices that are strongly rooted in their context and address environmental, socio-cultural and gender issues. This series explores the value of community engagement and participatory design as well as the limitation of the architect in responding to immediate challenges.
