Beirão Brand Identity



Beirão is an Olive Oil brand that has existed in Portugal since the 1960s. In 2018 it's owners reached out to QA publicidade, the agency I was a part off, looking for a full rebrand work. The client wanted to cut ties with the existing labels and overall visual identity, that was dated and inconsistent, they wanted to breath new life into the brand in a fresh and coherent way.




While we wanted to create something from scratch there were two elements we chose to keep as a basis for the new visual identity: a type based logo and a Portuguese seal.

In contrast with the old brand we developed a bold logo, that would stand out in a general supermarket shelf, giving the brand a strong and younger look. The seal was an essential element to complement the identity due to the highly exportable nature of the product and the need to highlight its origin.






Color and imagery played a major role in bringing warmth and variety to the visual identity of the brand. We decided to keep the general brand with a more sober approach by using dimmed grey images, while assigning a strong color to each product so that they are easily identifiable.
