MENA Community Psychology Conference

The aim of the conference is to focus on culturally relevant community psychology work in the Middle East and North Africa region and to share effective approaches for improving the lives of children, youth and families through enhancing community capacity, evidence based practices, and effective policies. There will be a showcase of innovative community-based initiatives, empirical research, high-impact community programs, effective policy work, and capacity-building activities. The conference activities and talks will be drawing on an interdisciplinary group of local and international participants and speakers from more than 11 countries.

The different sessions will emphasize applied research, programs, and policies that embody the values and principles of community psychology such as empowerment, social justice, prevention, health promotion, utilizing an ecological perspective, enhancing community participation and promoting diversity.
