Ciné Institute
Media and Branding Director
Ciné Institute is Haiti's only film school. Established in 2008, it grew out of a film festival, Festival Film Jakmèl, which ran for 3 years in Haiti. Ciné Institute's mission is to provide a high quality, professional film education, free of charge to Haitian youth and foster the growth of a film industry in Haiti, creating much needed jobs.

Beginning with Festival Film Jakmèl, I created the brand that would become Ciné Institute. The brand is defined by crisp bold and colorful imagery evoking the empowerment and positivity that the institute is instilling in its students and the community of Jacmel. Ciné Institute and the nascent Jollywood are setting a clear example of the possibilities for economic growth in Haiti. The brand is recognized throughout the country and, following the earthquake in January of 2010, throughout the world as the students appeared in the international news media and on the set of 'We are the World 25 for Haiti' wearing their brightly colored Ciné Institute t-shirts.
