Tesa is one of the world leaders in tapes and adhesives. We’ve built a strong collaboration with Tesa over the years, fortified by a significant experience in supporting the digitalisation of all their workflow, in particular with the design of all their extranet platform.
Context
Tesa aims to continuously improve its image among its partners and employees. Therefore, they proposed us to work on an e-learning concept in order to enable all their collaborators to deepen their knowledge on a specific subjects or to learn new things in the field of adhesives. This project addresses many different types of users and touches a wide range of sectors (e.g. Tesa works with aeronautics, food products, or even mobile phone companies). To identify the market and understand the users needs, we defined very distincts persona and draw their respective journey maps. Detailing their experience with the e-learning product, we pinpointed all the interactions. From that, we were able to define gamification principles and draw the platform flowchart with the main features. One of our challenges was to take in Tesa’s content and to structure it into chapter, making it easier to read and more consistant.
Solution
The Tesa E-learning platform is made of course bundles, all divided into lessons. Each lesson starts with a learning phase, where the user can acquire skills and discover new things about a specific topic. It ends with a quiz, where the user can quickly challenge his knowledge. If the user gets a good score in all the lessons, he wins a course badge! Players can also share their results and compete. Beyond the gamification of adhesives’ knowledge, it is a real certification that Tesa’s partners can claim. Their engagement and commitment is also rewarded, with discount vouchers and free products, among others.
