OSA PROJECT - UNREAL ENGINE 4

Inspired In the beautiful Peninsula de Osa in Costa Rica´s South Pacific Coast, I decided to create a scenario in Unreal Engine 4, to learn more about this engine and the different techniques for 3D environment design, vegetation modeling, and real-time technologies. I started with this idea of creating a virtual version of a Boutique hotel, specifically a really nice hotel located in Drake´s Bay (Peninsula de Osa) named "Copa de Àrbol Hotel" I did some sketch work before to be clear with what I wanted to create(learn and play). After that, I jumped into vegetation modeling, site modeling and look development, I wanted to create all the assets like rocks and textures, however, they are time-consuming and I ended up buying them. Unreal Engine and Speedtree are really powerful tools to create great content and have some fun. Before this project, I had no idea how to generate cinematics, with the great help and feedback of two talented coworkers Alejandro Guido and Marco Gamboa I learned a lot, and I´m really grateful with them.
