Haiku poetry and photography are both focusing on Time: understanding time and capturing the moments are their basic characteristics. Haiku poems are snapshots, a study of the nature, where the scene is tackled in words. Photography sets the view through the reflection of light. What are the points I should grab when searching for the common denominator? These are the Time, the rhythm of nature and the light which sets all of them. Photography and haiku poetry have their different approaches when relating to Time. In this installation I am looking for the meeting point of the two directions. My interpretation is to rethink the nature through impressions and imprints. In both cases the form of appearance is of great importance. Texts are embedded in book and unique copies of photographs are presented on the wall. In this installation I want to bring the two medium closer to each other, in the way that I change their traditional place. Thus, the text which connects the time through the light is put on the wall and underneath the photographs are placed on the pages of a book.
