This is part of the Hanryu Secretariat design series that I started last year. As with the previous one, the ladies in this piece wear Hanbok - Korean traditional dress. I enjoy working on Hanbok illustrations and I decided to make Hanryu Secretariat a series to feature such works.

This piece is titled CMY-K. It shouldn't be that hard to get the idea. The 3 ladies wear Hanbok dresses of different colors namely, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. When combining those colors, black or K is produced. In recent trends in entertainment, K has always been associated with anything Korea - K-pop, K-dramas.... so it's become CMY-K
Original Sketch

This is the original sketch featuring 3 ladies and a little girl floating along.
Modified and Colored

Along the process I've changed the concept and I've done some changes to the original draft. I removed the little girl as I want the 3 ladies to reflect the colors Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. I did play around the possibilities for the little girl. I changed her hanbok to black to complete all the colors in CMYK. But black dress for little girl looks wrong - only makes her look old.

As for the background, I've drawn a simple illustration of the Banpo bridge. It isn't detailed so it may appear like any other bridge. Well just so you know, I referred to an image of that bridge to get some basic features.
To be continued.
