"Jumping Mouse" by Brian Patten
Adaptation of the story "Jumping Mouse", based on a Native American folktale.
Editorial competition hosted by Biuro Literackie, publishing house in Wroclaw, Poland.

My first impression was it don't have to be "kids' book". The story have dipper meaning which could be hard to understand by child entirely. Inspired by Native American Folklore with its rich pattern tradition and through my passion to drawing I illustrated characters for book and did the editorial design. Designing in some point has turned into experiment with form-play. Book is all black and white because in my opinion philosophical treatise don't need color but focused wide-minded rider.
