Truyện về một cậu bé sáng thức dậy nhìn thấy mình mọc lên những cây nấm đáng sợ, từng ngày trôi qua cậu phải chịu đựng chúng đè nặng trên vai, cản trở mọi việc cậu làm, khiến cậu trở nên xa cách. Bởi chẳng ai nhìn thấy chúng ngoài cậu. Truyện ẩn dụ về chứng rối loạn căng thẳng (stress) ở tuổi thành niên , và cả trẻ em, hay bất kỳ ở tuổi nào trong cuộc đời con người. Đứng trước một chuyển biến hoàn toàn vượt khỏi kiểm soát đều trở nên lo lắng, có người vượt qua nó nhẹ nhàng, nhưng có người hoàn toàn bị nó nhấn chìm. Và khi đã là một người trưởng thành, trước mắt vô vàn áp lực nặng nề hơn, đôi khi chúng ta quên đi chính những đứa trẻ bây giờ cũng có thể dễ dàng rơi vào chúng, và để mọi chuyện tưởng chừng như vô hại lại trở nên xấu đi.

[Silent Comic] Mushroom

The story of a young boy woke up to find himself sprouting scary mushrooms, day by day he endured them on his shoulders, hindered everything he did, make his life more and more dificutlity. Because no one saw them but him. The metaphor of stress disorder in adolescence, and in children, or at any age in human life. Facing a transformation completely out of control, we may becomes nervous, some people overcome it gently, but someone is completely overwhelmed. As an adult, who has been faced a lot of heavier pressure, sometimes we forget that even children could easily fall into them.

Trong suốt quá trình làm việc, để tập trung miêu tả tâm lý nhân vật nên mình đã chọn vẽ truyện tranh không lời, cùng các hình ảnh ẩn dụ như nấm, dây leo gai để hình tượng hóa tình trạng tâm lý nhân vật. Màu sắc trong truyện được tối giản hẳn chỉ với hai màu chủ đạo chính là xanh trời, vàng và đỏ để lột tả không khí của truyện, cùng bút pháp vẽ nét đơn giản nhằm tăng tính nhấn mạnh các yếu tố còn lại.

During the course of work, to focus on depicting the character's psychology, I chose to draw wordless comics, and metaphorical images such as mushrooms, vines to visualize the psychological state of the character. The color in the story is minimalist with only two main colors: blue, yellow and red to express the atmosphere of the story, and a simple artstyle to increase the emphasis on the remaining elements.

Based on the requirements of the project, I also drew a published advertising poster, along with the accompanying story cover.

Poster truyện tranh Nấm

The story poster consists of two messages to express the general content of the story to bring to readers: "Sadness is captive of yourself", "Sadness is to understand each other". The colors of the two posters are contrasting to show the negative and positive between the two states of the message.

Poster 1 "Sadness is captive", the image of a boy asking for help in his own "mushroom" garden, expressing himself isolating himself with his sadness, dark space is color you see in the world around you.

Poster 2 "Sadness is to understand each other", the image of mother and child touching each other, the mother's vines twisting her son's mushrooms and removing them from him is the meaning of each person's message we will always have the pain of piling up, sympathizing and respecting each other's emotional trauma which is a way to heal the gap of the adult generation - children, between parents -teir chid in family.
