Chapter X. "Equilibrio."
A sign of enlightenment appears in the astronaut's path: balance. The astronaut's route led him to the balance he was looking for a long time. The equilibrium is shown to him as an imposing and great female figure. She represents the balance between forces and also shows several paths to follow.
The astronaut must choose one path.
The divinity shouted the answer to his heart provoking this powerful meeting. "I did it," was the first thought of the traveler after this revelation. He realized that this journey was necessary in order to mature and find himself.
The man is ready to face a new stage in his life.
Since ancient times, symbols have been used as links to God, this is the case of sacred geometry. These symbols have been used in buildings, churches, paintings and sculptures from east and west cultures.
I worked this artwork with a technique called "Taco perdido" in Spanish (sorry, I don't have the proper translation in English). You can see the process,
In the beginning (while working the engraving), I thought it was fine leaving the prints with just one color. However, my Printmaking teacher suggested me to experiment with "Taco perdido" technique. At the end, this artwork was made in two stages. For the first stage, I printed many copies with one sepia color like the picture below.
For the next stage, the surface was cleaned in order to engrave a bit more. Finally, I printed a layer of black color over the first prints in sepia color. Black color produce great contrast. In the end, it was a very good thing to work with this technique. I must admit that I needed a lot of patience.

The connotation of the circle alludes to the Unity, to the totality. In addition, there are other important symbols in religion that have their origin in the circle, for example the Vesica Pisces and the seed of life. In this case, a double halo that represents the with two forces: the Divine and the Earthly.
