Meet Maggie ...
My aunt adopted her from our local shelter back in 2011. At the time we thought see was a lab mix. As she gained weight and got healthier in her new home, she surprised us by transforming into a totally different dog. Sadly my aunt passed away last year (2019) and Maggie's life was turned upside down. To try to ease the transition for Maggie, my family took her in after having lost our wonderful dog Casper a year earlier.

She has proven to be much more challenging then Casper to photograph. Maggie being deaf has introduced an interesting pet photography challange. This project showcase my favourite, and some of my current, photographs of Maggie.
Above: I was experimenting with my flash and using it to back-light Maggie as see was sleeping.

Below: I tried bouncing my flash off of the bottom coffee table that Maggie was sleeping under.
