Project Overview:
TV is rapidly transforming from a broadcast medium to something new. Online & on-demand entertainment is catalyzing this change: sharing (myspace), webisodes (fox), embedding (youtube), tags (vimeo)

From websites to set-top-boxes, a set of conventions for media discovery and distribution are being tested and evolved: search (google), timeshifting (tivo), podcasts (itunes), playlists (ifilm)

A new medium is taking form. Our entertainment options are overwhelming us, creating a paradox of choice. We’re stuffing ourselves with media but we’re still hungry.

We don’t need more ways to consume. We need a better menu.

This final user interface was a zoomable user interface (ZUI) presented at IBC in 2006.
