As the pandemic of Coronavirus / COVID-19 sweeps the globe and paralyses our daily life, the lockdown has upended several religious festivities and traditions such as Ramadan.
The spirit of Ramadan is one of compassion and empathy, where the community comes together to look after one another and to do what’s right.
And during this noble month of selflessness and generosity, what can be more right than to stay home, to protect ourselves and to protect others.
My three visuals are inspired from a traditional Arabic lantern that I feel symbolizes Ramadan combined with Arabic architectural elements turning it into a house. The distant skyline comprises of famous monuments from across the UAE, as a reminder that we are all in this together by maintaining a safe distance and self isolation.
So the message for this Ramadan is clear:
Stay home, Stay safe and Stay blessed
