Social-Distantly Thinking of You with Candid COVID Cards
A creative collaboration between Chelsie Tamms + Blase Mnich
Social distance makes the heart grow fonder. But it’s saving lives. So I teamed up with Chicago copywriter Blase Mnich to create a line of cards which make sure that the distance between us doesn’t shrink just yet. Blase and I have known each other for about eight years and, interestingly enough, currently live about a seven minute walk from each other. Of course, given social distancing, our collaboration has been done completely online, and it truly took a pandemic to make it happen.

Candid COVID Cards are a tongue-in-cheek take on “thinking of you” cards made to remind everyone to keep social distancing. We hope they’ll make you (and whoever you send them to) smile while reminding you to be safe.
Everyone is keeping a nice, big social distance between each other. And while that’s good for flattening the curve, it can be hard on people who miss their friends and family. Our solution is to provide a series of COVID-themed cards that encourage social distancing with a bit of a humorous twist to bring a little light to the dark situation we’re all in right now.

It’s hard to know what to say right now. We are experiencing a pandemic after all. But humor goes a long way and we believe bringing in some witty snark in good taste can do some real good. That's why we made something that lets you say "I'm thinking of you" while recognizing the importance of social distancing.
Social Graphics + Postcards

We are bringing these carefully crafted messages to life through a limited run of printed postcards and sharable social graphics. Lettering Works will be releasing a new design and making sharable story graphics available daily on IG for the duration of the series.
