For the 2013 Brooklyn Half, the New York Road Runners and their lead sponsor for the event, New Balance, wanted to do something different -- something that would pay tribute the uniquely hip yet nostalgic spirit of Brooklyn. Doublespace gave the event a full makeover, starting with an all new look and feel including typography, logo, signage,
t-shirts, medals, and merchandise. The event's new personality was applied to an amazing three-day pre-race party under the stars in the heart of DUMBO that featured an expo space as well as a beer garden and concert area. A total race day extravaganza capped off the weekend, filling the streets from Prospect Park to Coney Island.
