Millions of people around the world have digital cameras and upload their photos ontothe internet through social media. The advent of the smart phone has alloweddigital photography to explode as most have camera and uploading features builtinto them. This simple interaction process has and will continue to radicallychange the way we take pictures and interact with content and the environmentaround us.
Since our backpacker is located in the Australian Outback we wanted to focus on the Aboriginal aspect of travel. The symbol is a modified aboriginal traveling sign with the circle as a resting place. The name itself means "A temporary return to traditional Aboriginal life, taken especially between periods of work or residence in modern society and usually involving a period of travel through the bush."
Our color scheme which utilizes the red hues of the outback around Alice Springs.

Johnis a freelance photojournalist, who shoots for: National Geographic, Reuters, and the Associated Press. His job requiresa lot of travel meaning he has to carry his top of the line photo equipmentwith him everywhere so he doesn't miss anything. He also uses his smart phoneand laptop to keep in touch with current events and the companies he works for.He must pack lightly wherever he goes because he does not have the time orability to carry excess cargo of any sort.
Withmillions of photos being uploaded daily and people being able to instantlyaccess the latest work online, the photographer must adapt and use new ideasand technologies in order to stay in the game. The average DSLR, which is themost commonly used digital camera has a USB function that allows the user toview, manipulate, discard and transfer image files. By attaching a wireless orblue tooth ready device that syncs with your laptop or mobile device you removethe use of a cord. John can also set his camera on a tripod and connect his USBadapter then move away a hundred yards and take the otherwise impossible shot.He can also discard the poor images or adjust his settings to further improvethe images.
Fora busy photojournalist like John time efficiency is crucial. Using theinnovative app specifically allows the traveling photojournalist to search fordirections, plan every step of your itinerary, and prepare for travelingcosts.  The app also enables the user tomake notes on and upload photos to any desired site utilizing time whiletraveling. Lastly the USB wireless, Bluetooth connection allows the user tocontrol the camera functions from a distance while uploading directly to themobile or laptop device. Overall the application provides a photojournalistwith all the combined requirements of getting the job done quickly whileintroducing new and innovative technologies.
