Saint Bavo Cathedral

The St. Bavo Basilica Cathedral in the city of Haarlem was built in the last decennium of the 19th century and eventually finalised in 1929. The architect was Jos Cuypers son of the famous Pierre Cuypers. The design is primarily Neo-Gothic, but shows influences of different parts of the world. A major restoration took place in the first part of this century, awarded with the European Heritage Award in 2019.
