Every year, 36 days of type calls for all designers, illustrators, artists and more to participate in their challenge. The goal? Revisiting the Latin alphabet and numerals in any way we see fit. For this year, I explored Blackletters typography, practicing my calligraphy skills on the go. Here's the collection. Enjoy.
For the last 9 posts, I explored the relationship between Blackletters and other typographic style. I tried to balance the roughness of the first shape with the softness of the second. At first I used pre-made fonts, but as I progressed, I created the second by hand as well.
