Take A Bite
The continuation of Bengawan Solo's re-branding project.
Design Concept:

I created my own font and featured it in a font book; typographic book. This font I’ve created is inspired by the roundness and chewiness of kueh. Explains why I mostly used a circle/oval as a guide when creating my font. At the same time, adding a mini bite mark to replicate a simplified way of the chewing action.

For the font book, I wanted to recreate the feeling of ‘sweetness’ thus the use of pastel colours. In the book, it includes the different ingredients used for kueh, being played with typographically, images of kueh taken by myself along with origami and coupons from my previous re-branding project.

How does this book preserve the cultural heritage? Kueh itself is part of the Peranakan culture and this book is about kueh itself.
