KFC was gearing up to become the first global fast food chain in South Africa to get rid of their plastic straws nationwide. As the biggest QSR brand in the country, this move represented a huge step towards changing the way big businesses deals with their plastic waste. Heck, with 60 MILLIONS less straws in SA's environment thanks to KFC, one could even call it a big step for humanity.
