When someone goes away, we should also let go to their body and their soul. It is their escence and their memories what we need to keep, for that is the only way they will always stay in our hearts.

I think recovery comes from grieving but also from remembering our loved ones and how they made us feel.
Perpetua is a service that will perpetuate the life of the person that left by encapsulating mortality as a remembrance.
It consists in offering to whom is making the funeral arrangements, choose an object that best describes the life of the one that left. By 3D printing, they will be able to keep something meaningful that anyone close can have. The funeral house will have a vast 3D object library for them to choose from. I took the concept of life rings on tree trunks to simbolize the years that the person spent in earth and these will be printed on the piece's surface. The rings will be printed in a phsophorescent-ABS material that will accumulate energy from light to glow in the dark.
Perpetua es un servicio que ayudará a perpetuar la vida de la persona que partió encapsulando su muerte como un recuerdo.
Consiste en ofrecer a quien esté haciendo los servicios fúnebres un objeto que describa de la mejor manera la vida de la persona que se fue. Por medio de impresión 3D, la(s) persona(s) podrán conservar una pieza significativa para todo aquel allegado que desee tenerla. La casa funeraria tendrá una vasta librería de objetos 3D para que el cliente pueda escoger. Se tomó el concepto de los anillos en los troncos de los arboles para simbolizar los años que la persona permaneció con vida y estos serán impresos en la superficie del objeto. Los aros serán impresos en un material ABS fosforescente el cual acumulará energía obtenida de la luz para brillar por sí mismo en la oscuridad.
The outcome of this new service will be the client's satisfaction of having an object that represents their loved one. Instead of symbolizing death, this piece is a way of giving respect to the life of someone that is not in this Earth anymore, remembering at all time that the best way of honoring someone that left is to keep on living.
El beneficio de este nuevo servicio será la satisfacción del cliente, teniendo en sus manos un objeto que represente dignamente la vida de su ser querido. En lugar de simbolizar la muerte, esta pieza es una forma de mostrar respeto a la vida de una persona que ya no estará en esta Tierra, recordando en todo momento que la mejor forma de honrar a quien se ha ido es continuar viviendo.
