Société Radio-Canada

Radio-Canada is Canada's national public broadcaster. It offers a wide range of programming from the regional and international news to the cultural scene and sports on multiple platforms such as radio, television and internet.

Our mandate was to reimagine the 244 linear meters of «Corridor A» at the Maison de Radio-Canada, created in the ‘70s by Scandinavian architect Tore Björnstad. More precisely, the interventions would need to stir up enthusiasm in visitors and (re) instill a sense of attachment to one of the country’s biggest institutions. «Corridor A» was a blank canvas in terms of communication potential, a path travelled by over 80,000 visitors a year, not to mention the artisans, experts and employees who work there. By way of immersive spaces and experiences, we developed, in collaboration with MRC, a dialogue between the citizen and the public broadcaster.

Today, the Maison de Radio-Canada invites the public to discover its multiple facets: its longstanding appeal, the creativity of its artisans, its international breadth, as well as the importance placed on it over the years. Punctuated with 10 immersive spaces, Corridor A is held together by a giant red ribbon linking its eastern and western gates, and main entrance. More than a visual reference guiding passersby through the space, this ribbon ties together the various interventions and allows the institution to put forth a more modern appearance, consistent with its reality as a media outlet.
