HAVE A COW
In this picture that published in the May 1971 issue, vacationing children approach a cow on Guernsey Island, a part of Great Britain's Channel Islands. Guernsey cows are famous for their rich milk.
Describe
The title of this image is "Have a cow", this image was taken by James L.AMOS and published in May 1971. This image is of two little kids and a cow in a open field. The main subject of this image is of the cow leaning into the little kid. The background of the image is an open field with grass and mountain, the foreground has the main subject of the image. This image would have been taken at a low angle to clearly show the child and cow. The colours used in the image are brown, white and green, all these colours together create a sense of calm, and the colours of the earth. The lightning in this image is dim that it would have been taken in the morning or evening.
The elements used in this image are texture, colour and space. The element texture is shown in the grass and shows what the cows skin would feel like. The element colour is shown in the colours seen in the images that represent nature. The element space is seen in how the background seems far and there's depth in the background whilst the subject seem so near.

The principles used in this image are proportion, balance and unity. Proportion is shown between the cow and the child. Balance is seen in the asymmetrical placing of the image.Unity is seen in the way everything comes together to create a sense of calmness.
The composition and techniques used in this image are Balance, and depth of field. The composition technique Balance is seen because of how the main subject is off-centred and it still keeps the attention on the cow and child. Depth of field is seen in the background that creates a blur in the background.
INTERPRET
The photographer took this photo of a child vacationing approaching a cow at Guernsey Islands to show the moment where the cow was also leaning in. This image doesn't seem to hold a deep meaning rather than the Guernsey Islands are famous for their cows rich milk that the photographer wanted to probably catch a special moment whilst on vacation that shows the child and the cow.
JUDGE
In my opinion this image is successful because of the way it was taken and how all the colours tie together to give the photo a sense of completion. This image is also really cool with the cow and the child it seems like such a rare opportunity to capture it.
