My latest ongoing project entitled, "I've Waited" is an almost assaulting confrontation with the timeless notion of 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'. It was a personal goal of mine to set up a project in which strong emotion could be conveyed without the visual cues that the human face can provide. The face remains obscured by varying levels, but I wanted more than one feeling or mood to be perceptible to the viewer. It is an examination of the multitude of emotions (from depression to desperation to raging lunacy) that can be evoked by disappointment. I did my best to leave this series very open to interpretation so that others can draw what they will from these images. One might see her as having received rejection from a long awaited lover. Another could see her as having just received word that she is being forced from her home. It is a very obscure tale, yet a very familiar one, one that I feel many people, women and men alike, can relate to.
