Residential Rediscovery
An exploration of the various new towns in Singapore for a study of visual elements used to create distinctive identities. By comparing the decorative elements that different towns have, this project seeks to change the impression that people have of the local urban landscape.
The Cards
As part of this project, I made a set of postcards using the photographs that I took while exploring the various towns. The intention behind these cards are to show people that our local flats are not as plain and simple as they may think.
The front face of the card simply shows the photo, while the back has the location and date the photo was taken. This minimalist approach brings the focus onto the photographs.
The following images are a selection of cards.
