This assignment is based on two questions I tend to constantly ask myself as a professor…What are my students really learning? and How does this experience fit in all of the experiences they will have in our curriculum? Our profession has been additive (designers have more responsibilities: the thinking and making in all its forms across all our media) and our curriculum have been too to keep up. So this assignment’s objective is to get you to slow down for a sec and reflect on your experiences and communicate your unique story of how your work represents your personal goals and our curricular goals.

 

 

The outcome of this is that you will create a visualization that connects what you’re supposed to know to what you have done. You will find the story that is interwoven between these diverse experiences. You will evaluate what you have learned and what you need/ want to know by:

 

Evaluating your work based on bloom’s taxonomy;
Evaluating your work based on AIGA/NASAD competencies;
Evaluating your work based on personal goals;
and designing map that communicates all these relationships
